Volunteer Policy

The success of ESC Alpine is dependent on the participation and contributions of member volunteers. Volunteers run the Board of Directors, coordinate programs and events, organize training camps, and assist at races.

Volunteering fosters a sense of community, and has a direct and positive impact on our athletes and the Club as a whole.

Each family must volunteer for one race position AND one casino shift.

• ESC Alpine Race: Saturday, January 24, 2026

• Casino: Two days sometime July - September 2026 (exact date TBD)

Race volunteer details:

• On-course volunteers require Level 1 (3 hrs online) and Safe Sport (self-directed, 1.5 hrs online)

• Level 2 and Level 3 training is available online. Check the Alberta Alpine Calendar for more details.

• The goal is to have several certified officials for our Club Race.

• No officials or volunteers = No race!

Casino fundraiser:

• The Casino fundraiser is critical to keep our Club running.

Volunteers are also needed for other events, such as the Jasper Junior Olympics. Information about available roles will be communicated at the earliest opportunity.
